Mark's Facebook photo album LINK of the Sacramento Delta/Father's Day ride June 20, 2010 (need facebook act.) ...here's the ride report...from Nate: We started the morning at the meeting point in Chevron at Pleasanton. Present were Max and Ria, Orlie, Jhun, Tony and Rudy followed by myself and my wife Nyvia. The plan was to ride on Mines Rd. then to Del Puerto Canyon to Interstate 5 then to have a Father's Day lunch buffet at the town of Westley. Unfortunately, our plans changed due to the restaurant's cancellation of the Father's Day Buffet. Rudy and Tony suggested a ride to the Delta via Rio Vista then to Sacramento. We all agreed and Capt. sax dude took the lead and we headed on Vasco Road towards Hwy 4 then across the bridge to Hwy 12. The weather and views were spectacular some of us have never ridden this windy levee road or ridden the free ferry across the river and more beautiful windy levee road with hardly anyone on the road. We then came out on Sacramento then proceeded to Hwy 99 where Tony took us to Max's restaurant where we had lunch. During lunch Racquel texted Nyvia and asked where we were and she was surprised that we were in Sac'to. She suggested meeting her at Vallejo for some halo-halo. We agreed since we were all going back via 80 except for Tony who had to be home and do his dad duties like washing agnes car and cleaning house. We then proceeded to Vallejo and caught some traffic on the way and all of a sudden Rudy took Hwy 680 headed for home which caught us by surprise because he was supposed to buy us all halo-halo... Rudy's Goldwing is over three feet wide and does not split lanes well so he left the traffic for home. We arrived at Max's restaurant in Vallejo and almost at the same time Racquel, Efren, Dennis, and Boboy arrived. We had halo-halo at Jolibee thank's to Efren and he suggested stopping by his house and having cake. We all proceeded to Efren's house and met Mark and his wife and two kids. We chatted for a while until 8pm then we all said our goodbyes. Max and Ria followed me on 580 then we parted ways on Castro Valley. A great day and a great ride with wonderful friends. Let's plan another delta ride sometime.... it is an awesome ride

Hello all, Sorry to those who missed the Manteca ride to Jamestown Black Oak Casino on May 30, 2010. You sure missed a great day of riding. I started yesterday morning meeting up with Efren, Romy and Raquel in Walnut Creek then off to Dublin for some breakfast at Denny's on Hopyard. After breakfast, met with Orlie at the Chevron station with Ben who happened to be by in the area. Not too long later, Nate and Nyvia showed up and off we head to meet with Max, Ria and Tony in Lathrop. First stop was at the Eagle's Nest Harley Davidson dealership in Lathrop for some picture taking, shopping and socializing. From there, we go to Las Casuelas mexican restaurant for lunch. Very good food and the portions are large. The rice bowl with sauteed veggies and prawns is out of this world. Thanks Romy. While munching on our favorite mexican specialties, we decided to forego the Manteca parade and head to Jamestown, instead. Unfortunately, the Jamestown Harley-Davidson dealership was closed so we all head to the Black Oak Casino for some refreshments. While at the casino, we all enjoyed Efren's ever-present humor. As expected, we all had our share of laughs and decided to leave before it got dark. Back in Manteca, we all said our goodbyes and headed home. After about 12 hours on the road, finally got home at around 9:00pm. A little tired but happy to have spent a full day with really good friends. Thank you very much. After the usual exchanges of pleasantries and filled up on coffee, everybody took off on highway 80 across the Carquinez bridge led by Romy towards Vallejo, on to highway 37 to the cheese factory in Sonoma. Everbody enjoyed tasting the cheeses Sonoma Valley has to offer and of course, plenty of picture taking apportunities. Apparently, the view of the lake with trees in the background is so romantic this time of the year. From Sonoma, the group headed towards downtown Point Reyes where a sumptous lunch awaits at the Station House Cafe, and some of our brothers showed off their ala - Liberacci piano skills. And again more pictures. Cameras were flashing before, during and after the meal. It was sometime around 2:30PM by the time everybody decided to head back taking Olema road/Route to Samual Taylor, with a stop at the Starbucks on Atlas road in Richmond. This is where everybody said their goodbyes after a long coffee break and went their separate ways towards home.
